Bottle. Pours a medium gold with orange highlights and a creamy, mixed-grained, white head. Nose is grapefruit, spruce, honey, lavender, and gardenia. On the tongue, it’s an interesting mix of the intense spicy citrus of an IPA and a smooth sweetness from pumpkin; it works, because the pumpkin’s round fruity sugars and the spice enhances rather than fights with the honeyed malt. Mouthfeel is quite smooth and substantial for a beer this hoppy. Finish goes very dry and citric. A very good mixture of two styles that could have gone very badly.

Heavy spice smell with light hops after taste, typical pumpkin ale color but no head, good spice flavor with hops finish, weird linger both a low IBU IPA and a pumpkin ale after taste. Overall enjoyable on a evening relaxing

Aroma of pumpkin spices. Orange-amber in color with a thin head. Slightly sweet, pumpkin flavor with hop bitterness and aftertaste. (It should be noted that strong hop flavor is not my preference) This may be a good after dinner substitute for dessert.

Bottle. Poured a clear orange-amber color with an off white head. Aroma of spicy pumpkin notes, with some earthy notes. It actually worked better than I thought. Somesoice, well mostly spice, with some sweetness and earthy/spice hopping. Not bad

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium amber color, white head cover, thin streaks of lace. Aroma of malt and raw pumpkin. Taste is malt and semi-sweet pumpkin that turns spicy sweet on a fizzy swallow. The pumpkin provides plenty of bitter to finish. It’s okay, not great.

Crisp copper and orange coloured body with a rich, thick, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of very bright squash, nutmeg, allspice, powdered ginger, malt and a good light dose of hops - very nice nose. Medium-bodied; Assertive nutty and malty flavour up front with a lot of squash and even more bitterness from the malt and perhaps some from hops. Aftertaste shows a lot of the spices with the allspice and nutmeg by far the strongest, with a little canella and coriander seed right behind and a touch of sweetness on the finish from caramelised sugars. Overall, a nice beer for the style with a lot of flavour, a nice complex profile and the best bottle in the business. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 11-September-2015 for US$1,89 sampled at home in Washington on 30-November-2015.

On tap at Red Yeti Brewing Co. Pours a slightly hazy copper orange with a amber hue and a one-finger white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Pumpkin, citrus (mostly orange), cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, malt, bit of wheat and bread. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Definitely a pumpkin IPA, but since that sounds rather unappealing, I understand them calling this a hoppy pumpkin ale. Really good overall. An interesting and original take on an IPA.

Tallahassee, Fl - World Market - 12 oz stubby bottle. Pours a slightly murky medium golden, tight snow white head, hint of lacing. Aroma has some grassy notes, a touch of mint and some pumpkin spice. Flavor has some pumpkin spice notes, some light ripening vegetable funkiness, a light trace of spearmint. Mouthfeel has a decent spritz to it. Better than expected based on my previous experience with North Peak.
