3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pailhead (3859) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy ginger, lighter nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin, citrus, grapefruit, and a hint of pine. It pours a cloudy dark orange with a small soapy white head that quickly fades to a thick ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of pumpkin. There’s a pretty good citrus kick in the middle. The finish moderate grapefruit, light ginger, nutmeg, and a touch of pine. It’s light-medium bodied with somewhat soft carbonation. Overall, the pumpin/IPA combo is pretty interesting...and I’m liking it.

Aroma of nutmeg, soft pumpkin and a hint of citrus hops. Tastes of pumpkin pie, nutmeg, cinnamon with a nice citrus hop bitterness. Medium bodied and delicious. A nice take on a pumpkin ale with some delicious hops. North peak continues to impress.

On tap at JP A2. Pours a clear gold with a white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma has a real nice pine and grapefruit note with subtle pumpkin and spice lying underneath. Flavor has much more pumpkin and spice with the hops blending into the background.

Great pumpkin beer. Slight pumpkin taste mixed with roasted hops. Very well blended. Not much aroma but what’s there isn’t bad. Palate very clean. Very good.

On tap at Jackie-Os, the very last bit of their keg... They could only fill my pint glass halfway, so they only charged me $1. Good deal. Clear pumpkin-orange color, a nice persisting white head. Decent lace. Good, hearty pumpkin aroma with nutmeg, and discernable hops. Barely any carbonation, possibly because it was the end of the keg, but I’m fine with that... I liked the texture, it was more on the lighter side, but full-flavor. Not bad.

On tap at Buffalo Wings & Rings, East Broad St in Reynoldsburg. Pours a clear orange with a medium off-white head. Spicy malty and hoppy aroma, but pretty faint. Flavor starts with malt and cinnamon, than some grassy hops creep in, followed by spicy ginger before a bitter hop finish.
