Pours orange brown with virtually no head. Not a lot to smell either. Taste is good...very hoppy and the pumpkin is there too. A good brew.

Sampled from a Bottle, this beer had a hazy orange pour with a little yellow and red colors (very peach skin like), the pour made an initial one to two finger faint off-white head, the bubbles had a tint of orange to them, the head quickly receded to a partial cover and ring, there were some fingers and spots of lacing on the sides of the glass, the bottom of the bottle had a layer of light and dark brown sediment, it had aromas of pumpkin and vegetable, some ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon spices, grass hops, some toasted malt in the background, and little sweetness on the nose, the flavors were spices and citrus hops, some pumpkin and a little malt, the finish had hop bitterness and spice that gave a little kick, the mouth feel was less than medium with average carbonation, a straight pumpkin and spice beer with hops that were noticeable on the nose but they were more bitter than I expected on the tongue.

Bottle. The aroma is nice and pleasant. The taste leaves something to be desired. Kinda bland and not a much flavor as I would want. An average brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

MrBunn (2457) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 18, 2012
Bottle. Thin head, orangish body. Aromas are grainy with a thin spicy edge. Flavor is much more compelling... A bit of a tartness is unexpected, but pumpkin and spice come through nicely over a leafy maltiness. This is very nice and tastes like a crisp autumn day.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Pours a hazy orangy copper color with a fluffy white head of foam. The Aroma is dry bitterness, similar to that of a tea, with some spices. Interesting aroma. Taste is lightly spicy with with some pumpkin spice influence. Dry finish. Pretty good stuff.

Dry, hoppy, and cloudy with vaguely clove aftertaste. Interesting but not quite an IPA; not quite a pumpkin ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Totally unfiltered, cloudy, wheat color. Nice blend of pumpkin and spice flavors, with bitter hops. Only 5.5% ABV---but mucho flavor!

Pailhead (4809) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy ginger, lighter nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin, citrus, grapefruit, and a hint of pine. It pours a cloudy dark orange with a small soapy white head that quickly fades to a thick ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of pumpkin. Thereís a pretty good citrus kick in the middle. The finish moderate grapefruit, light ginger, nutmeg, and a touch of pine. Itís light-medium bodied with somewhat soft carbonation. Overall, the pumpin/IPA combo is pretty interesting...and Iím liking it.

Aroma of nutmeg, soft pumpkin and a hint of citrus hops. Tastes of pumpkin pie, nutmeg, cinnamon with a nice citrus hop bitterness. Medium bodied and delicious. A nice take on a pumpkin ale with some delicious hops. North peak continues to impress. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My wife recently visited Jolly Pumpkin in the traverse city area and brought home a growler of this. It was sold to her under the jolly pumpkin brand name. Cracked open the growler on day 4. Appearance - hazy amber with orange hues. Little off white head. Aroma - spicy, nutmeg, maybe a hint of cinnamon. Flavor - bitter. Palate - bitter, crisp, nutmeg, cinnamon, very small hint of pumpkin, fizzy.
