Very dark brown. Very nutty quality to the flavor. Almost like a brown mixed with a stout. Liked this beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Pours black with drops of lace. Carbonation is right there and mouthfeel fine though a tad thinish.Roasty aroma, bit taste is more burnt, making it not as enoyable a porter. Chocolate and coffee in taste.

Draft at brewpub: Deep brown pour hinges on black with a thick, mocha colored head. The nose offers a nice dose of burnt cookie, sweet chocolate and sweet espresso. The body follows in this way, with a nice balance of roasted and caramel malts. The hopping is minimal, only emerging in the finish to bitter the sweet body. A solid example of a porter that is drinkable and repeatable.
