Nitro draft at brewery. Creamy frothy head from the nitrogen pour. Aroma is full of malt. The taste is a typical dry irish stout, but not much better. Almost tastes watered down. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Another smokey beer from north peak. Not being a smoked beer fan, I wasn't impressed by this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Like always, nitro muted the flavor. Thin, a touch ashy. At least it’s better than Guinness.

On nitro at the brewery. Opaque black with creamy beige, off-white head. Aroma is smoke and roast upfront with nice milk chocolate note. Chocolate roast flavor with crushed up grahm cracker, smoke, interesting and different. Medium body with nitro that gives creamy yet watery consistency. Very flavorful.

Would of enjoyed more if received a fuller glass. Poured a nice head, half a sampler glass left after settling. Good flavor, and aroma. Nice finish. Enjoyable.

2008 MiBGF: Deep brown with a frothy head. The aroma has notes of coffee, roast, walnut, vanilla, chocolate, and pepper, weak nose. The taste is your standard paint by numbers brewpub dry "Irish" stout. Roasty with hint of chocolate, coffee, herbal hop, and a slight ripe fruit twang. The mouth feel is smooth and watery. Whatever... next.

On cask at the brewpub. Dark black, chocolaty opaque pour with a finger of creamy tan. Aromas of medium roast coffee mingle nicely with some dark chocolates and a touch of fruitiness. Medium-light bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Pleasant balance between roast and dark fruit characters. The flavors are similar to a complex coffee; velvety smooth, full of dark chocolate, raisins, and subtle earthy smoke. A touch of anise spice seems to add that extra level of complexity and enjoyment. Not harsh or overdone, but a solidly constructed brew.

Draft sampler at North Peak. Poured a clear dark brown color with a moderate fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted bitter aroma. Medium to full body. Medium roasted dry bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration duration. Solid dry stout style brew.
