355ml stubby. Amber pour. Tangy candy aroma, some bready malt, sort of rootberry. Flavor is decent, malt forward with an intriguing hoppiness and touch of roast. One of the better brews from this place.

Draft pour into a pint glass. The beer is a clear ted with a white head of foam. The aroma has moderate doughy qualities. Some cracker, and a grassy hop profile. Well balanced. Medium carbonation.

Bottle. Pores a hazy dark copper color with a good head and plenty of lacing. Aroma of citrus, some malt sweetness a bit of grain. taste of citrus and a bit of malt sweetness. Solid bitterness that lingers into the finish. Moderate body, with a light malty feel. Just a tad hoppy for an English Pale Ale.

Rated on 4-03-2016 (Bottled on 12/09/15) The appearance is a medium sized beige head that is mostly lasting, transparent dark amber body, fizzy, lively, fast rising carbonation observed, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is yeast, citrus, pine hops, grapefruit, earthy, fruity, light spice, and caramel malt. The flavor is moderately bitter, sweet, citrus hops, fruity grapefruit, earthy, and caramel malt. This beer’s mouthfeel is soft carbonation and this is a medium bodied beer. A very drinkable beer that is easy to drink with a decent flavor. It is not too hoppy or bitter tasting and a somewhat refreshing beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark red-amber with a high, thick, medium-grained, light tan head. Nose is lavender, sage, lime, hay, dust, and a dry, aromatic spice -- mace? Cumin? Very bitter and smooth up front, with a round mouthfeel; the sweetness comes in after, reminiscent of lime cream, but is a definite second fiddle. Hops are somewhat one-dimensional. Finish is also one-dimensional; it’s bitter and ashy and that’s about it. interesting, but in the end only good, not great.
