COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Its call is intoxicating. An aroma that beckons you to pull up a stool and linger over its toasted malt character. Next, a deep kiss of liquid lust that will caress your tongue, thanks to an array of toasty Pale, Crystal (30 and 75), what, Carapils and roasted barley malts balanced by the subtle bite of Willamette and Fuggle hops. It’s a brew that will seduce your heart, mind and palette.

Draft. Aroma has notes of cereal malts and fruits. Medium amber hue with an average off-white head that mostly diminished and left good lace. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is medium bodied and watery average. Overall a decent brew with a little infection going on.

I really wanted to like this more than I did, the only thing holding me back from rating it higher was the beer itself. It has a cool label design and comes in a cool stubby bottle ala Red Stripe. That’s really where the good stuff ends, not much worth reporting otherwise. Just pretty mediocre, I would like it better if it was free. I would drink it again, I just wouldn’t pay for it again.

In a bottle... a fruity aroma...good smooth amber taste... a pretty good all around beer

I do not like the aroma on this beer, there is just something about it. Color is a standard ale. Decent taste. Not a fan. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle, Whole Foods Columbus. Pours amber (as expected); big, white, rocky head quickly dissipates to a thin covering. Aroma quite weak; predominantly bready malt; sweet toast. Flavor bears significant resemblance to Newcastle Brown; malt and caramel and buttery; finish surprisingly dry. Mediocre beer.

Stubby bottle poured a clear amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and a hint of fuittiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of camel and earthiness with a crisp dry lingering earthy finish.

One of the better amber ales i’ve had to my recollection. There are tons of them on the market but this one stands out. If you’re in the market for a good amber this is one that won’t dissapoint.

Draft at the brewpub, Traverse City. Amber body, hazy, with a medium, dense, pillowy off-white head. Light caramely, sweet nose with residual sugars. Light, fruity body, reminding me a tad of a watered-down Kool-Aid packet (tropical fruit juice, perhaps), also with toasted cereals and light grassy hops; light bitter finish. OK, soft, quaffable.

Nice head and appearance, slightly bitter aftertaste. Leaves me wanting more in terms of aroma
