3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at Zingerman’s Roadhouse. Dark brown color with a khaki head. Overall, on the sweeter side with buckets of malt but enough hops to balance. Nice amber for someone who isn’t a big hop/bitterness fan.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rated on 12-28-2011 and on tap at Graydon’s Crossing in Grand Rapids, MI. This beer pours a small ivory head that is fully lasting, transparent amber body, no visible carbonated observed, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is toasted malt, citrus and earthy hops. The flavor mimics the aroma and also is lightly grainy. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. This is a session beer, but lacks character and the flavor needs some help.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours slightly hazy, reddish-amber with a fluffy tan head.
Slightly nutty, baked bread, caramel scent.
Taste is slightly metallic, caramel malt.
A bit leafy..herbal hops.
A bit too sweet, but not bad...
Just not memorable.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle. Coppery with small head. Light malt body. Light hops in the finish. Averageish for the style.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep amber red body with a tall foamy off white head that’s super creamy looking. Very sexy lacing. The aroma is leafy. Metallic? The flavor is malty and crisp. Doesn’t linger. I think this bottle is a tad old, so I will rate what I recall. I know I did like it... and was surprised that I did. Malty. Clean. Easy drinking.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours bronze / amber with a beige head. The aroma has toasty malt, dark bread and overall maltiness - fairly simple. It has a medium / thin watery body with light sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with toasty malt, spicy hops, crackers and wateriness. The finish is clean and refreshing. Decent amber ale.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Solid Amber; not great, not bad. Hard for me to review since it's probably the style I have the least amount of interest in. Smooth, good malt profile and nice touch of hops.

Had a glass on tap as part of a sampler at the brewery. Solid effort for a boring style.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Might have been an old bottle but poured an amber color with aromas toast, biscuit and light floral hops. Fla ors were the same less the hops, it was more of a hops were there but now have gotten moldy flavor, bitter aftertaste.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 8/19/2013. Pours lightly hazy ruby copper color with a 1-2 finger dense cream colored head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of caramel, toast, biscuit, toffee, orange zest, lemon zest, floral, grass, light pine, light roast, and floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt and hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, toast, biscuit, toffee, floral, grass, lemon/orange zest, light pine, light roast, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, biscuit, toffee, citrus, floral, grass, light pine, and light roast on the finish for a bit. Nice balance of malt and hop flavors; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, smooth, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice amber ale! All around good balance and robustness of malt and hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
