North Peak Stickin Rye

On tap at the brewery. Pours a mostly cloudy banana gold color with a finger of fizzy white head. Soft, supple nose of creamy rye. The rye character is really interesting because it has a smooth and silky character similar to many wheat beers, yet it’s distinctly rye. The hop aroma is quite restrained, which may help contribute to this "softer" rye malt nose than I expected to experience. Medium bodied, creamy carbonated mouthfeel. Flavors of vanilla wafer cookie, banana cream, and a touch of doughy rye bread. Clean finish with a delicate smack of herbal hops and mild rye spice.
