COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beware of beer. There, we warned you. The frothy head, and pungent, piney dryhopped scent (from Cascade and Amarillo hops) should alert you to the brew’s imminent attack on your senses. Next, Cascade, Perle and Willamette hops will batter your palette with bitter ferocity. Finally, Pale, Crystal (30 and 75) and wheat malts converge in a cloudy, thick body and give you a smooth kiss of sweet death – and leave you howling for more!

Bottle: The aroma is very heavy on oranges mixed with some peach, Belgian yeast, and orange peel. It pours a transparent amber with a two finger orange tinged off-white head that has good retention and leaves behind a good amount of sticky lacing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with orange, peach, and some Belgian yeastiness. The finish has moderate grapefruit, light wheat notes, and pine. It’s medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Overall, it’s fall somewhat in line with the Belgian IPAs.

Thanks to Dad for this. Interesting beer. Thankfully not too much wheatiness to compete with the hops which were powerful and piney-grapefruit. High carbonation. Biting after taste. Serving: Bottle

Hazy golden with a huge fluffy off white head. Caramel, grain, and grapefruit aroma and taste with a crisp yet chew palate and a beautiful sweet fruit bread finish.

Bottled at Dayton Ale Feast. I think they succeeded in their attempt here: a nice, moderately hoppy IPA with a fuller body from the wheat. Despite the description, I didn’t find the hops that powerful but I thought the beer worked well.

more of a malty aroma than a pine to me, malty after taste, grapefruit citrus real tang to it, botttom of bottle collection of yeast, not my favorite this week

Vicious is the word. The balance between the wheat and hops really play on each other producing a cynergistic effect like no other. It may tear at my pallet and shread my taste buds but that is what i wanted and that is what I got.

I thought this one was a failure. Super spicy, bitter but not extremely so, very herbal. It is a bit harsh.

12oz bottle. Pours burnt orange with off white head that diminishes to cap. Plenty of bubbly action from bottom glass. Aroma slight pine citrus. High medium body. Taste sweet orange with average bitterness end. Intriguing approach to ipa and very enjoyable.
