COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
North Peak Wanderer is a Session IPA. This exciting new style is balanced with malt and hop characters and has a clean finish. The combination of full hop flavor and lower alcohol gives Wanderer a a wonderful drinkability! Wanderer has a light, clean and refreshing body, and is hopped with Perle, Willamette, Centennial and Citra hops that gives Wanderer a Citrus and Pine finish. Wanderer is rounded out with a generous amount of dry-hopping with Citra hops to fill the nose. It is brewed in Traverse City, MI, on Old Mission Peninsula incorporating locally grown hops.

Cloudy copper with a thick, foamy head. The aroma is hoppy, but sweet with elements of tea. Flavor, likewise, has elements of tea and light bitterness. As a huge fan of session IPAs (e.g. Founders, Lagunitas, Stone/Kelsey McNair/Ballast Point) this lacks the upfront hop flavor, and is a bit of a disappointment.

This canned brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy with a frothy top fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was floral musty and malt hop. The bubbly crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium hoppy aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

On tap at Jolly Pumpkin in Detroit pours a clear dark gold with some frothy, lacing white head. Nose is zippy with hop, grass, pine, citrus zest, lightly floral too. Flavor has just a hint of grist, lemon, lime, grass, straw, mild pine. Finishes dry and bitter. Crushable. Very well done.

hotstuff (4840) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 28, 2016
Rated on 3-28-2016 (Bottle) The appearance is a medium sized off-white head that mostly diminished, transparent golden body, fast rising carbonation observed, and one ring of lacing. The aroma citrus hops, grassy, floral, grapefruit, and grainy. The flavor presents much bitterness, citrus hops, some pine hops, earthy, some grapefruit, and a bit grainy. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, a quaffable session beer that is quite bitter tasting and hence has a lingering bitter aftertaste.

The flavor starts with a quick dose of light toasted caramel. The finish has moderate grapefruit, faint lemon, and a touch of grass. Itís light bodied with light-moderate carbonation.

12 oz bottle at home. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have grassy, earthy hops, light citrus, toasted bready malts, dry, sessionable (yes), would I want to (no), I just donít get some of these session IPAs.

Very hazy dirty amber. Good head. Orange juice sweet citrus scent. Very light body. Sharp citrus hop start mellows out and is enjoyable. You could pound back a few. In general I like more malt but for low ABV this is pretty nice
