North Peak Wanderer is a Session IPA. This exciting new style is balanced with malt and hop characters and has a clean finish. The combination of full hop flavor and lower alcohol gives Wanderer a a wonderful drinkability! Wanderer has a light, clean and refreshing body, and is hopped with Perle, Willamette, Centennial and Citra hops that gives Wanderer a Citrus and Pine finish. Wanderer is rounded out with a generous amount of dry-hopping with Citra hops to fill the nose. It is brewed in Traverse City, MI, on Old Mission Peninsula incorporating locally grown hops.

Cloudy copper with a thick, foamy head. The aroma is hoppy, but sweet with elements of tea. Flavor, likewise, has elements of tea and light bitterness. As a huge fan of session IPAs (e.g. Founders, Lagunitas, Stone/Kelsey McNair/Ballast Point) this lacks the upfront hop flavor, and is a bit of a disappointment.

Nice head with good lacing. Orange tea colored pour from the stubby bottle. Nice flavors without the high alcohol content, this meets the expectations of a nice session beer.

Tap at Null. Clear amber pour with a small head that fades to a thin ring and leaves great lacing. Aroma is very grainy, some sugary sweetness, and wet grass. Tastes artificially sweet. Very weird. Some citrus and grass too. Odd beer.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought grass, bread, biscuit, hints of dough, some lemon. Taste is a mix of grass, spicy hops, some floral notes into some biscuit, more zesty, almost lemony hops, finishing dry, spicy.

Pours a dull orange, well over - carbonated. Overflows when cap is removed, can only pour half the bottle. Bottle shows one year since creation, bought last week. Aroma is weak, and of standard hops with low malt. Light malt flavor with a dust of hops. Slight bitter and dry aftertaste with sticky mouthfeel. Advertisement on bottle says "session India Pale Ale". Seems to mean light/weak.

Bottle from the shelves of Tipples. A little surprised this was still in the fridge, as it has a bottling date of 12/3/13 and I grabbed it today (8/16/14). Oh well. Pours murky copper orange color with a very small ring of white head. Aroma is straight malts and some stale hops, bready and caramelly. Flavor is watered down bready malts, light bitter, sticky and sweet. Light to medium bodied with medium low carbonation. Meh. Need to try it fresh.

St. Augustine, Fl. - Broudy’s Liquors - 12 oz stubby bottle. Hazy medium orange pour, light off-white head. Aroma has a slight touch of spruce. Flavor has a solid citrus bitter profile, some grassy notes, a touch of biscuit-like maltiness. Solid flavor for the low ABV. Mouthfeel has a decent spritz to it. Decent.

pours hazy medium dark golden orange with a small creamy off-white head, some retention and lacing. spicy apricots - some fruity lagering notes, melons, citrus, almost juicy fruity notes, lean just lightly toasted maltiness, some cereals, grass, pepper. average carbonation, light body, assertive and dry grassy-spicy-gently piney-citrusy medium long finish. quenching. not necessarily linear but clearly effective. nice session.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Malt and light dust aroma with light grapefruit. Grapefruit and light pine flavor with malt. Medium-light bodied. OK bitterness. Grapefruit and light pine linger with light malt.

This beer pours a rich orange (with a slight tint of red to it) with a small off-white head, and the aroma blends diacetyl with piney and citrus hops. The taste is mildly bitter, slightly sour, and slightly sweet, and the palate fuses a sticky texture, medium-full body, soft carbonation, and slightly bitter finish that causes the mouth to pucker slightly. Overall, the flavors don’t quite blend as well as they could, and the palate doesn’t do much to complement what flavor is there.

Bottle, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours kind of an orange color with a big fluffy off white head and lots of lacing on the glass.

The aroma has a bit of citrus, melon, and clean socks. The malt character is lightly caramely.

The flavor is very grassy with a touch of minerallity. The malt really doesn’t come through as a pleasant note here, sort of flabby and a touch sweet & caramelly. The hops are certainly the dominant character of the beer & there is that nice low bitterness that’s the hallmark of the style. But the hop character seems one noted and not very bright at all...

The beer is a touch on the thin side without much prickly carbonation to carry it well across the palate.

Cool bottle though!
