On tap @ North Star poured a clear dark brown nearly black with a small lingering tan head.Aromas of roastiness, chocolate and light coffee. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roastiness, chocolate, light coffee and a hint of licorice with a smooth roasty finish.

This creamy smooth oatmeal stout would be a dangerous one to have on tap at home. It was very smooth, pretty creamy, and just tasted delicious. Not much (if any) roasted barley noticeable. Plenty of creamy chocolaty flavors very prominent. Exactly what I’d look for on an oatmeal stout. It just felt spot on.
