Kevin (1765), Colorado, USA May 28, 2007 tap at the brewpub. dark clear copper body with a lasting head. the aroma was almost not there, could be how cold it was, but in the end it was a non factor, some caramel notes, with a light sweet scent was all i could get, notably bland comes to mind when smelling this. flavor had the expected caramel with something that reminded me of wood. low bitterness without a discernable hop flavor. worked well on a hot day though. Aubrey (2554), Denver, Colorado, USA Jan 28, 2007 Reddish-amber hue with just an OK head but really nice lace. Sweet malt base, with hints of light toast, caramel and brown sugar. Very mild bitterness. Light bodied texture; kind of on the thin side, but it made for an easy-drinking session beer.
