DruncanVeasey (6950) - NUNEATON, Top 24, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2013
500ml bottle. Coppery brown with a short-lived white head. Aroma of fruit pastilles, lime jelly peppered with nutmeg, something out of the curry cupboard I can’t place, pigpen yeast. Low condition with muddled yeast and spiciness; hints of rum-dunked cardboard, clove and radishes. Harmless. Probably.

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, toffee, light hoppy, orange - citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, fruity malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111209]

50cl bottle from Bellinger’s, Grove, Oxfordshire. Poured a murky amber with a billowing off-white head; lots of yeast on the aroma together with some orange fruity; biscuity yeast flavours with a touch of spice; and a dry bitter finish. Rather ordinary.
