Jul 29, 2007 This bitter ale poured light brown with good blended notes of sweet malt and bitter hops. This allowed the palate to share in the same contradictory experience. It finished with the correct amount of bitterness as well.

Jul 14, 2007 On-tap at the brewpub. Minimal head, though lace and grapefruit colour. No smell, watery.Malty, turning into Bitter, and drying aftertaste.

does not count  Mar 17, 2007 22 oz. bottle purchased at the brewpub. A very pleasant surprise -definitely reminded me of a good English ESB. Nice blend of malt and hops. Strong creamy lasting . head. Medium body and bitterness with a mildly bitter aftertaste . Best of the Northampton products I’ve tried - wish it were available in a 6-pack.
