sampled at the brewpub. light amber/deep orange in color. medium carbnonation. Aroma is citrus and floral with some sweet caramel malts. Would have liked the hops more forward in the aroma. With that said, the taste follows suit- citrus, floral, light pine notes with a mild to moderate amount of bitterness in the taste. Was hoping for more of a hop presence. Also didn’t have much of a solid malt backbone. Overall though, this was quite drinkable and well made, although didn’t have all the qualities I personally like in an Imperial IPA.
