Our imperial stout is as bold, black, and bitter as dark chocolate or French roast coffee…and just as addictive.

Draft at the brewery. I was pleasantly surprised that this beer is a nitrogen-infused, dry stout version of an imperial stout. The almost black, cloudy body is topped with a brown head that laces throughout the entire pint. This beer has a silky smooth finish and notes of chocolate, oats, coffee and smoked meats. Tasty.

On tap at the Brewpub Comes to the table a solid black frothy off white head. Huge coffee and roasted grain in the nose with bits of vanilla, caramel and earthy hops. The flavor is more roasted grain and burnt caramel than anything else. Light dark fruit and earthy hop. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. This seemed quite thin in body for the style and the flavor was not horribly complex imho. The recipe must change because I remember having this a few years back and being blown away, this time not so much.

Nice looking creamy pour with nitro type head that lingers. Aroma is similar to the porter with heavy ashy roastyness and good creamy richness. Mouthfeel is nice and smooth and creamy.. good beer.

On draft at brewery. Deep dark pour with a tan head. Not a bad impy. Big roasted malt taste of coffee and dark chocolate with a nice bitterness.

(Draught) Pours an opaque black body with a medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, mint, roastiness, light vanilla, and coconut. Flavor of roasted malt, chocolate, some caramel, and coffee.

Rich deep black beer with a creamy dark brown head. Aroma is loaded with espresso and cocoa notes. Milk chocolate and a little bit of vanilla as well. Heavily roasted flavour over a softly sweet raisiny note. Sticky and sweet with a little bit of charriness on the back. Earthy/fruity hoppiness. Lingering sticky sweet malts. Fruity and cocoaish. Soft and sweet with a lingering hoppy/roasty bitterness. It’s a little sweet and slightly boozy, but it’s a pretty serviceable attempt.
