COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As far as porters go, this one is heavier on the caramel malt and lighter on the roast malt. I will be smoking a small portion of the base malt in-house for a smoky complexity. This beer will pair well with most of our menu items.

On tap at brewpub, pours a dark brown/black with a medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and smoked malts. Taste of smoked chocolate and caramel malts, vanilla, and licorice. Pretty solid.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aromà has notes of sweet dark grains with a good amount of roast and a touch of smoke. Flavor has a nice combination of sweet dark grains, roasted malts and a growing smokiness.

Growler from the pub. Pours dark brown with a small tan head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is dark chocolate, roast, coffee and smoke. Taste is sweet with some light acrid bitter notes. Medium bodied, slick texture and overall a very solid porter. I enjoyed the hint of smoke in this porter.

Dark brown pour at the brewpub with a slight tan head and some lacing. Not much going on in the nose - roasted malt. Taste is malty, chewy, slightly smoky in the finish. Roasted dark malt, slight bitter chocolate. Quite nice.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of big dark chocolate, creamy milk, hints of oat into some slight smoke, dark roast, coffee, mocha like notes, nice. Taste is a mix of dark chocolate, coffee, roast, some sweet vanilla, oat, and dark fruits, into some yeast, finishing sweet, slightly bitter. Nice.

Draft at at Northbound during RBSG. From notes. Roasty malt with a good deal of smoky. This went absolutely awesome with my bigass burger.
