COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mmmmm... stout. If you don't know why they call it "stout", that's because you haven't tasted it. I make a couple of different stouts, each with its own dash of dark brilliance to make it unique. The rumor is, you know it's ready when a chopstick will stand upright in a pint. Of course, that's not true, I use a regular spoon.

Only other review hopes they get this right...they got it right. Bottle date: unk A: pours black and thick. Three fingers of dark mocha head DOES NOT FADE. Plenty of thick lacing. Looks rich. S: Graham, molasses, licorice, some cocoa, lots of rich dark malts. Iím really digging the profile here. T: Plenty roasted, coffee, cocoa, licorice, bitter resinous hops. This isnít overly complex, but man, this is actually good. I am really surprised! M: A hare thin for the style, a bit hi for the carb. Semi dry finish. O: I canít not say this...This beer reminds me of Ten FIDY. My beloved Ten FIDY! Jesus Christ, I feel like a heretic. Serving type: bottle 08-05-2011

Bottle: Poured a deep black with a half finger light brown cream head. Aroma is a mix of medicine and stale coffee. Taste is a burnt malts, dark chocolate, and weak stale coffee. Leaves the tongue dry and light medicine.

reebtogi (3833) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 4, 2012
355ml bottle pours almost black with a finger of beige head that leaves some thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is smoky with some roasted malts. Taste is light smokiness with some roasted malt bitterness balanced with some light malty sweetness and a light hoppy bitter finish. Medium to heavy body and light carbonation. This is really a nicely done stout enjoyed on a rainy day in Washington while on vacation.

Nena (963) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 8, 2011
Thick, oily looking pour with a lovely dark tan head. Rich aroma, char and dark chocolate, loads and loads of roastiness. Tastes extremely ashy and has a bit of an acidic quality to the roastiness. Has a nice dark chocolate undercurrent to it and a long, lingering ashy finish. While this beer looks, smells, and feels great on the palate, itís way too ashy for my tastes.
