3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 JW77 (22) - Miami, Florida, USA - SEP 19, 2010First time trying this brew, great aroma of smoked malts. Bit thin on the body, but very drinkable. Decent smoked porter for sure, must seek out their other brews and see how they hold up. Thanks again jordon for the hookup.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Bottle:   Seemingly black, moderate yet hefty beige head, frothy, leaving fairly nice lacing.   Soft smoke, roasted malts, and carob on the nose.   Unlike others, this doesn’t have any of that bandaid or plastic
presense.   Then again, the smoke isn’t very strong.   Much more smokey on the tongue.   A slight band-aid up front, but it quickly gives way to an ashy type charred wood.   Roastiness is sweet, a little milk stout like.
Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Could stand to be a bit heavier because at the finish it feels a little thin.   Mid-palate is a lot of smoke and ash, backside becomes a bit sweet with some soft roastiness.   I like
this one in that its not overly plastic or band-aid like.   Smoke seems like smoke, or at least ash and charred wood.   Enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 poisoneddwarf (1307) - Rathdrum, Idaho, USA - APR 25, 2011
12 oz bottle into English pint. Pours opaque black with a small collapsing beige head; leaves a ring of foam that lasts throughout. Aroma is muted coffee, campfire smoke. Taste is bittersweet and smoky; finishes bitter with a light tang. Highly carbonated for a porter, creamy mouthfeel, medium-bodied. Nice enough, but not excellent.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 anderson01 (191) - Idaho, USA - APR 24, 2011
Dark brown in color. A tan head with very good lacing. Smokey and caramelly all at the same time. It has a nutty texture to it. It burned my nostrils as i was determining the aroma. It taste like burnt coffee but in a good way. A very mediacore beer on the palate. It has a rough finish. Overall i was unimpressed with this beer.

Dark black in color, clear with a thin brown head. Lots of chocolate and smoked roasty malt in the aroma. Loved the deep rich flavors this was like drinking a smokey chocolate bar with alcohol. Big flavors this was dry to the finish and smokey. I like this beer.
