Bottle: Branded Blakemere. Nose is green apple, yeast, soft raspberry, bubble gum, banana . Better than I was expecting. Taste does not blend well. The base is grassy hay, yeast leading to an exceptionally dry finish oddly smoked finish. Lay on top, like a fish over a stationary cupboard, is a chewy raspberry bublegum taste. Mouthfeel is a shocker, it’s like flat San Pellegrino. Overall a nice nose, but everything else is a mess.

On gravity at the Barley Mow, Bristol 21/10/2012. Hazy gold with a slight white head. Very sweet, fruity aroma with raspberries and peaches to the fore. Flavour was similar, with the fruit still sweet and prominent, with some grains and a moderately bitter finish. Not really my thing.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Alice. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Dry raspberry aroma. Light body, dry and fresh raspberry notes with a slightly tart edge. Ends lightly bitter. Very refreshing. 030812

Cask by handpump at Cloisters, Edinburgh (29 Feb 12) - strong sweet fruity aroma, lovely clear pale golden ale with a good off-white head, bit perfumy, but strong raspberry flavour, a bit sickly sweet, dry finish

Cask at cloisters. Golden amber, thin head. Soft raspberry and bready malt nose. Similar flavours. Touch of sherbet, caramel also. Dry linger. Nice.

Had a conditioned bottle of this after coming in from a night out, so couldn’t enjoy it fully, quite a light tasting beer with the overall taste being obviously of raspberrys, very refreshing on the palate

Cask at Cloisters. A light golden ale with a decent white head. Raspberry aroma with some caramel malt. Flavour again of raspberry with barley and caramel. Nice lingering dryness. Interesting.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2010, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.

Clear medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity - raspberry ? keller, orange - smoke. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100806]

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2011 Cask, gravity, at Green Man Autumn BF ’10, Stamford, Lincolnshire. Orange gold. Sweet red fruitgum aroma and taste. That’s it really. Nine year old girls would enjoy this, though, of course, it would be strictly illegal to serve it to them. Close to awful, but you gotta love it. 14.5.2011 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. This time I recorded the flavour as blackcurrant and raspberry and marked it upa bit. Rating:6,3,6,4,11:3.0
