*As ’Blakemere Jewel’, bottle. - Light hop aroma. Flavour has a light smokiness which comes through as the beer warms.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2013 28/04/12 - Three Tuns Dronfield, on as guest. Light beer, nothing distinguishing.

Golden ale with a slightly pale edge to it, its best quality as this is otherwise bland.

Golden in colour, musty aroma, taste is dry and earthy with slight hint of hops

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 22 July 2011) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with brief white head. Malty, fruity nose with citrus, some toast and a hint of diacetyl. Fruity, malty taste with notes of toast, apricots and dusty hops in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Not very exciting, and possibly not in top form.

Cask handpull at Ye Cracke Liverpool. Gold clear with lasting white head. Its a bitter with some dusty musty hop. Fine if not overly exciting

Cask at the CP&K, Pimlico. LIght gold pour with a white head. Citrus and fresh herb aromas. Pear and light malt flavours. Good bitter bite. Sharp, hop finish.

Cask at the CPK. Pours clear, yellow gold with a foamy, white head. Mild biscuit, straw nose. Flavor is pretty sweet, good bread and biscuit, slight grass, some mild earth. Light bodied with good, fine carbonation. Some sugar in the finish, hay and straw, slight citric bitters, slight toast. Solid beer.

Bottle. Golden and clear with with some citrus.Subtle hoppiness but not enough to meet its claim that it is an IPA. Still quite pleasant though.

Cask handpump at The Maypole, Cambridge. Clear, orange-copper appearance. Not much scent to it. Bitter, some carbonation, in the mouth there are spices, oranges and some caramel. Nice.
