Sampled on tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark brownish amber with a thin off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film. Nice white swirl fillm on brew surface. Aroma of caramel malt, light maple syrup, some grassy hops and a touch of yeast. Taste is medium bodied, very little carbonation with flavors of multi-grain biscuits, and some citrus hops. Finish is dry and a little metalic, with a lingering light bitterness. Braudog (3789), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | May 22, 2007 Draft pint at the brewpub; Red, little to no carbonation and virtually no head. Not much of an aroma, but this has a nice prototypical bitter flavor profile ... caramel malt, tangy bitterness, nice metallic hop bite. (#2917, 5/18/2007) after4ever (2863), Brier, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 28, 2006 Bomber. Pours a murky dark amber with a towering, rocky, off-white head. At least this one didn’t ejaculate a couple of servings onto the kitchen counter. Fairly neutral nose, a little cracker and sweet yeast in there. Virtually lifeless attack--low body, low carb, vacant flavors. Not much flavor anywhere until you get to a sour, tangy, cherry-ish metallic finish. Not sure what went wrong here, other than some kind of sludge in a bottling line, because these guys do good work in kegs. BillKismet (1962), Seattle, Washington, USA

A 5 minute wait before you cabn get a malty metalic aroma. Taste is smooth though with a light but crisp hop flavor. Nice and malty that leaves the tongue coated in hops. omhper (12338), Stockholm, Sweden
