Pours a clear golden amber brew with an average off-white head that quickly dissolves to a fine film. Aroma of piney hops, multi-grain character with a touch of citrus. Taste is light to medium body, lightly carbonated with flavors of citrus, with a touch of butter. Interesting! | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 7, 2005 Bottle pours orangish golden, large frothy white, but quickly diminishing head, nice lacing, with minor carbonation. Subtle hop nose, soft but sharp, with a hint of ashtray. Pale grainy flavor up front, followed by quite the butter attack. Diactyl.... blech. Body and mouthfeel are farily average. Finishes with somewhat of a toasted malt flavor, and luckily no butter or ashtray. Their Crystal Bitter still has my vote for best of the bottled stuff. And the beer looked so good... damn.
