glkaiser (999), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 12, 2008 Biscuit malt dominates up front with some grassy hops following. Light bitterness and light all around. Just fine for a summer "fest" beer. Bradrcr (617), Renton, Washington, USA Jun 14, 2008 5/24/08 On draught at the Brewpub. Aroma is light, sweet and floral, with excellent hop/malt note integration. Appearance is very clear gold with a medium-high maintained white head. Flavor is an even malt/hop balance with light malt sweetness and a light, but much more (vs. the aroma) earthy, grassy and spicy hop note. Mouthfeel is quite dry, medium bodied, with a spicy aftertaste that does not finish. Overall, quite good. It’s nice to see to see a Pale Ale that isn’t trying to be "IPA light", and content with a solid hot weather craft beer status. jhanske (18), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 30, 2008 Pint at brewery. This was a perfectly refreshing spring ale. I compared it to Sierra Nevada ESB. They are very similar. This beer was on the lighter side. Amarillo hops, nice gold color and nice overall balance. I preferred it to the to the amber and the pale. presario (2441), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Mar 26, 2008 Sample tray. Amarillo hops. Lasting head on gold. Light hop scent. Light body. Strong hop flavour. Alcohol and hop finish, just a touch mediciny. Brings out the spice in the food.
