The nose on this is amazing. Coffee, roasty, chocolate, a little lactose, toasted grains. Flavor is sweet, malted chocolate, fruit, dates, rasininettes, and some sweetish tea finish. Smooth, fairly silky, lowish carbonation. Drinkable, lovely nose, the sweet tea in the flavor made it less enjoyable for me. Beerlando (2319), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 24, 2009 Growler, courtesy BJ from Florida Micro. Pours a translucent mahogany color with glints of crimson shining through. A foamy, tan head is quick to dissipate, settling in to a frothy edge and leaving minimal spotting behind on the glass. The aroma walks the line between sweet and roasty very well, staring with dark caramel and malted chocolate and transitioning to coffee roast. Some mild, lactic creaminess ties the two elements together. The flavor takes on a bit more of a fruity element, the prominent component being raisins covered in malted chocolate, with a creamy, milky note, and finishing with a mild coffee roastiness. Medium bodied, smooth, and silky, it drinks easy but finishes a little sticky. Pretty nice little session stout here. Tasty. redlight (1460), Winter Park, Florida, USA

Pours dark brown/black with a thin tan head. Smooth and sweet, light coffee up front with a little creamy vanilla, nice roastiness in the aftertaste. Very smooth and easy to drink! | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 23, 2009 Thanks to the Florida Micro Beverage guy for a taste from his growler. Nice aroma on this one. A lot of toast, thick roasted malts, raisins and coffee. The toasted grain comes through the most. Pretty strong aroma. Flavor is a little lighter. A little chocolate and, thanks to Beerlando, some raisins like a raisinette. Light mouthfeel and light flavor, but still good for a lighter stout. vacantskies (83), Spokane, Washington, USA
