Bradrcr (617), Renton, Washington, USA Jul 17, 2007 On draught at the brewery. Aroma is roast malt forward with dark chocolate notes and a kind of milky sweetness. Appearance is to style being very dark brown with a well retained tan head. Flavor is sweet, grainy, roast malt forward with very light dark chocolate notes and dark dried fruit. Mouthfeel is medium/full bodied, has some roasted graininess and very low carb texture. Overall, a very smooth stout with some good complexity. Skyview (2933), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 13, 2007 Fifth stop during the ABA Beer Tour 07 in Spokane, Washington. Sampled on tap at the brewpub. Pours a near opaque dark brown brew with a tan head. Fast dissipating head and nice lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt with a touch of coffee and flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied (almost brown ale-like) with very little carbonation. Finish is light with a roasted malt aftertaste. Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates May 22, 2007 Draft 10 oz glass at the brewpub for dessert: Too cold, first off. Reddish black and no head. Far too watery ... some light roastiness here but this doesnt live up to the other beers here. Little to no character. Bad finish to the night at Northern Lights. (#2919, 5/18/2007) Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 26, 2006 Deep mahogany colors. Dark brown head. Smoky nose with some roast and a slight bitterness. Light chocolate in the flavors accompanied by bitter roast malts. Not much to the ending, but good, sort of.
