Cask at the Ship Inn at Haskayne. Much too sweet and bready for me, very strange almost a sweet caramel toffee taste, not nice.

Cloudy dark golden coloured beer mounted by a fading white head. Greasy and bready malts have a certain floweriness to them with petal-like hop backings that barely let them keep off the abusive malt sweetness. Worse these bready exaggerations remain vegetal and grainy on top of very sweet and the palate suffers from it.

Cask conditioned at Harbury beer fest ’07. Amber to gold with white head, sl haze. Quite a restrained beer with the flavours hidden in the fog. Not too many strong flavours for a session beer, but too restained for me.

4.1%. Aroma is minimal, floural hops and carmal malts. Taste is similar and again a bit minimal, colder than the rest of the ales that were on.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Gently hoppy Golden, with a nice, smooth balanced aspect. Good session material. Smooth, friendly, really quite good.
