Reddish/brown with a beige head, leaves nice lacing. Sweet malts with mild hops, not much depth but not bad. Sweet, simple malt and bisquit flavors, light floral hops with a mild bitter follow. A good beer for those making early forays into craft beer. An easy drinking session ale.

12oz bottle: pours deep amber color with small off white head. aroma is just hints of malt. flavor is slighty watered down but some carmel comes through with some added malt slighty sweet. not bad but nothing to rave about.

I just picked up a "lone-soldier" from TJ’s for a test drive. I Ifeel this is great ever day beer and have spent more on far less.

Come on people! Only a 30! I’ts not the best but a 30? Good color, lacing, head and above average flavor from lots of malt and hops. A good beer at a good price. $9.00 a 12 pack from TJ’S

out of the bottle. pours a medium-bodied amber. barely there head and no lacing. smells of caramel. tastes kind of soapy and sweet. mouthfeel is thin. not so much.
