Draft, at Northwoods. Yes, it is a light amber. Malt shows a hint a caramel roast, and we start getting into more noticeable hops. A clean finish, more like a ďredĒ ale.

Caramel malt on the nose. Not too much of anything but a nice malt profile that fits the style.

Pretty nice looking amber. Some toffee and caramel in the nose. Salted caramel, cereal, hay, a bit of honey in the flavor. A nice balance of wheat and caramel sweetness.

2.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20
very interesting aroma. something about it feels synthetic. Maybe thats the crappy part the title speaks of? donít mind the graphic design yet I think the fish could have more character. As a viewer I want more. I canít help but feel this fish is as charmless as the title. I wish the label had invited me, the participant, to guzzle the labors of the quirky brewers. I canít get this aroma out of my nose. Strange juxtaposition from the relatively muted taste. Perhaps that is the strategy of the brewer? To cloud and overwhelm the nose and sneak in the taste. Taste. I taste fruits, tart fruits. My girlfriend keeps saying this beer taste weird. .

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Pours a deep brown amber color with a low off-white head. Aroma has a light grainy start, slight toasted malt, a bunch of odd sweetness and no hops present. Flavor is very, very odd. Almost like drinking soured malt, very tart, dry, hints of vanilla, very funky wet grain flavor. Body is light with a very dry and fizzy kick too it. Very hard to drink. A terrible beer. I have no clue what their intent was with brew as itís a mess of flavors that donít work one bit together.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottled. Poured clear medium amber with a short-lived off-white head. The aroma picked up buttery notes, odd fruits, honey, and molasses.. almost some smoked malts too.. not so much desirable. The flavor found sticky-sweet maple and honey, with dank, tacky, weird sugars sticking at times.. grainy wheat toward the back.. not really offensive, but not good. Light-bodied with a spotty flow through the palate.. moderate carbonation.. left an unpleasant taste on the fairly quick finish.. there seemed to be a lot of cheap, not-so-well-coordinated sugars employed here.
