Baumgartner (67), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA Jul 14, 2008 Bottle poured to glass. A great brown ale with aroma of roasted malts and molasses. Average head, off white in color atop a brown brew. Medium mouthfeel but a very full tasting brew. ChainGangGuy (1603), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Sep 11, 2007 Appearance: Pours a thin-looking brown body with a wispy, off-white head.
Smell: Sourish, nutty aroma with a small hint of chocolate.
Taste: Weak flavors of toasted nuts that grows more and more watery until the twangy, sourish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Lacks flavor, body, and depth. A very poor brown ale. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 9, 2007 Updated: Sep 30, 2007Date: 09/08/2007

CaptainCougar (4665), Rockville, Maryland, USA Sep 8, 2007 Pours a transparent copper mahogany with a thin ring of tan head. Aroma of toasted caramely malt with some nutty character. Body starts thin and lacking the malty sweetness for the style, but finishes drier and toasty. An ok brown ale, just needs a little more malt and body. Ughsmash (3086), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 13, 2007 Bottle thanks to Skyview. Poured clear, medium reddish-brown with a very thin layer of beige head. Aroma was of artificially-sweetened nutty and cocoa sugars.. very, very sweet. Flavor was very similar.. sweet chocolate, hazelnuts, and drawn caramel.. the diabetes-inducing sweet factor was ever-so-present, and this was just a chore to drink. Light-bodied and watery though most of the drink, only supported by beefed-up sweetness.. poor balance. This was just a weak attempt.
