This was one of the first porters that I ever bought more than once, back in the late 90s. Very dark pour, with good aroma of coffee, chocolate, and malt. Tastes roasty, with a smooth, slightly sweet, full, roasted coffee finish.

A nice, sweet porter. Too bad Nor’Wester went out of business and Saxer doesn’t make this anymore (Saxer owns the company’s beers now)

I haven’t had this in years. From what I remember it was a very enjoyable porter. I don’t know why, but most microbrews make pretty decent porters.
