Papsoe (10580), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 27, 2005 (On tap) Leuven - home of mighty InBev - also has this fine brewpub Domus , that few ratebeerians seem to have visited.
Amber coloured beer with a malty nose. Low carbonation, small head. Slightly smoked notes. Very smooth and pleasant, not much bitterness but a discreet, sweet finish. 180501 Bov (4659), Bienne, Switzerland Jan 22, 2004 JorisPPattyn (4526), Antwerpen, Belgium May 6, 2004 (draught) Thick, good amber head, collapsing; quite effervescent, dark-amber beer. Sweet nose, with faint sourish, grapey, whiff of Brett and heaps of caramel - like a Belle-Vue gueuze or Jack-Op. Dry cookie/caramel taste; hint of hoppiness. Falls dead. Dry initial mouthfeel is followed by a sticky sensation, sweeter. The initial nose promessed more -especially with the dry start. After that however... This beer is very similar to the Watneys red for Italy. jbrus (4194), Delft, Netherlands Nov 9, 2003 Caramel and perfume aroma. Amber color, beige head, very nice lace. Soft, light sweet, fruity, hoppy undertone, light. Could use some body but the best of Domus beers! caesar (2597), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Jul 1, 2006 Tap, Domus. Slightly hazy amber color, medium head. Aroma of caramel, lightly roasted malt, slightly fruity. Malty taste, also hopbitter. Good balance. Very nice amber ale.
