Better than most dunkels but I feel like that means it isn’t a dunkel. Light roast and some lightly soured malt, dunkel styke. Pours black with decent head. Average carbonation. Light bitter finish with some hint of sourness. Tap at Lord hobo.

Poured from a 12oz can into a dimple mug. Born on "10/16/2015"
Aroma - Cocoa, roasted malt, dark bread. Not particularly potent.
Appearance - Three finger creamy mocha head. Un-pierceable black color.
Taste - Semi-sweet cocoa flavors mesh with the roasted, bitter roasted malts. Sweet flavors are reminiscent of iced coffee with milk. Lingering roasted and cocoa flavors.
Palate - Light bodied but plenty creamy. Semi-dry.
Overall - Fell in love with tmavy in Prague, with its pilsner-like body but porter-like richness. Happy to see Notch pay omage to the style and do an admirable job at it.

6 fl. oz. on tap @ Bukowski’s, Dalton St. Pours very dark brown with a low tan head. Aroma is dry roasted malts. Flavor is dry roasted malts with some hops in the finish. Watery, but decent.

16 ounce draft at Row 34 poured into a standard pint glass. Pours black with ruby brown hues and a light tan head, maybe half a finger. Decent lacing. Aromas of sweet and bitter malt, caramel, cocoa, light wheat. Tasting notes of cocoa, coffee, roast, dark chocolate. Medium body with a dry finish, medium carbonation. Pretty interesting and tasty, very enjoyable.

Cask at NERAX. Black pour with a brown head. Burnt aroma. Very roasty flavour, with light dark fruit and a hint of lactic acid.

Tap at Ale House. Pours deep amber brown with a scant beige head. Aroma of caramel malt and smoke. Flavor follows nose. Caramel sweetness tempered by a fair amount of smoke and ash. Finishes dirty caramel.

Dark brown with tan head that quickly dissipates. Light bodied some coffee flavors. Easy drinking.

Toasty coffee malt and singed hops aroma. Odd lactic undertone, wait till it warms if that’s not really apparent. Dark cola brown. The texture is kind of cola like too - nice and crisp and sometimes gritty, yet mellow as a whole. Bittersweet coffee taste. This one is about what the brewer describes, and can be abbreviated to something like dunkel with schwartz tendencies.
