COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The American Session Ale. Pale copper color, firm malt body and a dry, hoppy finish. Notch Session Ale is well balanced, but in true American fashion the hop flavor is up front, and finishes dry, which begs for another sip. Notch Session Ale is unfiltered and hopped throughout the brewing process with three US hop varieties, resulting in a complex depth of hop flavor. The US has no Session Ale tradition - so this is our interpretation.

Light golden brown with a lot of carbonation leaving a big bubbly head that dissipated to a slight small blanket across the top. Toasty malts balanced with lighter caramel malts. Earth and fruity citrus hop nose. Crisp and light body with a large toasted caramel flavor. Citrus hops are up front but get fruitier and then finish with an earth and malt tang. Goes down smooth with a lot of flavor packed into such a light body.

Clear medium orange color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, spruce, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120807]

A pale ale that has " generic pale ale" written all over it: pine cones, malt extract and yeast. Hops, slight booze and cardboard by swallow. Meh.

12oz bottle in a lager glass. Pours amber with a lacy, off white head. Aroma of floral and light piney hops plus pale and light caramel malts. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent beer for the style.

GBBF. Light haze on this gold beer, residual off white head. Light palate,a little dry. Mild fine carbonation. Juicy marmalade hops. A little minerals. Mild fresh hop sting along with a little hop skunk. Nice seltzer - citrus. Finishes dry. All flavours well balanced and a really nice pale ale.

Cask@GBBF 2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, nectary, floral and also has some slight honey in it. Flavour is fruity, floral, caramelly and mild earthyness as well. Fruity aftertaste.

Scrapersnbeer (979) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 30, 2012
Standard pale aroma - light caramel floral notes. Orange color that is opaque with fine suspension. Good malty to bitter contrast. Medium body, low carbonation. As the name implies, its very easy to drink, especially for a beer that tends towards bitter. Nice light duty take on the classic pale ale style.

a nice 6 pack picked up for easy after work drinking. hazy amber orange color. Heavy full foamy head atop. The aroma is a citrus orange and grapefruit mixed with some paper mache. faintest caramel. Flavor is light bitter with some of the orange hops pricking in there some more. High effervescence. A solid session beer, light easy and something I would offer any non-craft drinker
