2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Scrapersnbeer (1020) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 4, 2013
Light pale malt and subtle floral hops found here. Clear orange color like an IPA, though with an obvious difference in carbonation. Surprise bitter taste that is not expected from the aroma. This brewer brags of being low gravity and therefore highly sessionable, but the lack of palate only serves to emphasize bitterness. Interesting beer, and not as light as one might believe.

Bottle via Lushawn
Pours golden with a nice well retained white head and a good lacing on the glass.
The aroma is clean & bright with some crisp lightly fruity malt character... but generally not sweet smelling at all. The hops are of herbal and citrusy varieties.
The flavor is remarkable, very crisp and clean. The fruity malt is better defined than in the aroma but again the beer is not especially sweet & finishes dry. The hop character is central to the flavor of the beer and is basically fruit forward with a light herbal character. The bitterness is moderate but right on for a beer like this.
Probably one of the better marriages between Bohemian and American pilsener traditions.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. It pours straw yellow with a full. foamy head like a good pilsener should look. Full aroma of pale malts, biscuit, and crisp, clean hops. The body is light and delightful. The taste has a moderate hop bitterness with a dry finish. Very nice for the style.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 radarsock (503) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 17, 2012
Had on-tap at The Upper Crust Pizza in Newburyport and had drunk with a slice of steaming pizza. Pours a clear orange with a thin diminishing off-white head.Smells uniquely of Saaz hops, malt extract, nectarine zest yeast and bread. Tastes the same. Gets overpoweringly vegetal by swallow. Also, a little too specifically American in its hop choices which were, on the taste, obviously too bitter.

12oz bottle in a footed pilsener glass. Pours golden with an off-white head. Aroma of pale malts, bread, and floral hops. Flavor the same. Average to light texture. A decent beer for the style.

Draft @ Deep Ellum, MA. Pours a clean amber golden color color with a two finger gaseous head that settles quickly. Aromas are a touch floral, big biscuity malts and a lil cardboard... On the palate it is clean, refreshing and balanced with a nice touch of bitterness on the finish. As stated on the glass a solid American Session Beer.

If I’m drinking a Pils (one of my least favorite styles), then this is the one I want and I could drink plenty of them. It’s refreshing and just plain good.
