The Brits coined the term "session," but beer-brewing countries have been crafting their own versions of these flavorful, low-gravity beers for centuries. Brewed in the traditional, Belgian Saison style, our interpretation is refreshing and dry with a spicy yeast character and floral hop aroma.

Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a finger of white foam. Nose is a blend of earthy yeast, pepper, bubblegum and floral grass. Palate follows the nose, touch of sulphur, banana, bubblegum, poormans pepper and some doughy grain sweetness on the backend. Not offensive but a little flabby and sadly a bit of a victim of saisonification.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Golden pour with a quick fuzzy white head. quickly. Decent toasted biscuit and yeast notes on the nose along with a citrus note that has a bit of grapefruit or pineapple. Light to medium body. Nice toasted malts lead the flavor with a tart, dry bitterness lingering at the end.

It pours a straw gold, looks slightly hazy, forms a 2 finger head of foam and again, great lacing. It smells yeasty, spicy with cloves etc, wheat, all of the goodies I expect from a Saison. Could the tastes ever be more true to smell than this? lol. Yeasty, spicy...second pour brings a stronger haze and that can me even more flavour judging from my past experiences with the style. The spice and yeast rule this sucker and it even has a mild hop flavour if you’re into Saisons with that trait. The mouthfeel is perfection for the style, imho. This is a wonderful Saison and the fact that it is only 3.8% abv is icing on the cake.

Hazy golden color. The nose was mostly clove and banana. Tasted of indistinct spices and slightly bitter.

Lively carbonation, but wasn't a fan of the hoppy after taste, even though it was mild. Pours like orange liquid gold, with a floral aroma. Overall, not too bad, but not the best Saison I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle pours a hazy gold with some creamy, white head. Nose is nice and floral, some perfume, some herbs, lightly malt, honey. Flavor is the same, mildly gristy, very floral, lightly herbal, lightly sweet. Clean finish. Very nice. Solid session beer.

Slightly hazy orange color, creamy white head. Saison yeasty, spicey-fruity aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Typical Saison yeast flavor, green apple. Crisp. A bit watery and "too easy" Saison for my liking.

Amazing how much flavor is packed into this light ABV brew. The spice from the yeast with the bubbly carbonation and floral hoppiness is enjoyable.

Looks pretty good, foamy and hazy yellow/orange. My first impression of the aroma is Christmas cookie spices, quite pleasant. Also some fruity yest notes, some banana in there. The flavor is sweet and a little tart, more banana yeast presence than in the aroma. Tasty and really refreshing. Moderate carbonation and a slightly dry finish. At 3.8 you can tell it’s alcoholic but it certainly won’t knock you down. Notch focuses on making "sessionable" beers which I guess are intended for all-day day drinking. I can see drinks like this being popular with the dieting calorie counters who are mainly limited to nasty Bud lights and the dreadful MGD 64.

Bottle courtesy of AirForceHops. Cloudy straw gold with a large white head. Pineapple, Belgian yeast, sweet bready malt, and spice aroma. Spicy Belgian yeast, bready malt flavor with a mild hoppy finish. Medium body, lively carbonation. Nice.
