COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Brits coined the term "session," but beer-brewing countries have been crafting their own versions of these flavorful, low-gravity beers for centuries. Brewed in the traditional, Belgian Saison style, our interpretation is refreshing and dry with a spicy yeast character and floral hop aroma.

The brewers of this beer prove that bold taste and delightful complexity don't have to rely on high gravity and high abv. A bit astringent which makes drinking a lot of it somewhat of a task, doubly unfortunate given its label as a "session" beer, Notch Saison is a nearly perfect table beer. It is full of flavor from the malt (including some Golden Naked Oats?), hops, AND yeast with each component adding its own level of nuance to the overall flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Notch Saison) Can 355 ml at home, served into a big tulip, ABV 4.1% Bright orange colour on the body, huge white head, thick enough, with average retention. Aroma has apricot, berries, faint grass. Taste is not that complex, quite sweet with some apricots and berries, sugars, light peach. Medium thin body, carbonation on good levels. Decent.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2016 Pours a cloudy light yellow with a white head. Nose is light saison yeast. Body is medium. Taste is light citrus, saison yeast. Palate is crisp with slight bitter aftertaste. This is probably closer tot he orginal farmhouse ale but for the current saison profile it is weak. ABV: 4.1% 12 oz can
