bottle from Edeka Marktredwitz. Clear deep brown colour, mid-sized beige head. Malty start, good amount of roasted malts, some caramel and a tiny touch of coffee. Good one.

Definately one of the best Dunkel in the world (to me). Rich dark almost black color, a uncomparable aroma of roasty bread an a great taste.

Dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Karamell, fruchtig. Geschmack röstmalzig nach Schokolade, leicht fruchtig.

Bottled@One Pint Pub, Helsinki (old backlog). Ambery brown colour, small off-white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, mild toasted notes as well as some slight ripe fruityness as well as raisins. Flavour is being rather similar with also some slight herbal and bitter notes towards the finish. A bit watery, but otherwise a nice brew.

Bottled 0.5L at OPP. Malty nose. Pale beige fast disappearing head. Dark brownish colour. Malty roasty taste. Not very sweet. Slightly sour. At the end some hoppiness.

Bottle looks a bit tawdry, but okay. Beer in the glass very dark, almost black, small head. Starts mild, malty, modest fruity-berry. Finish still mild, well balanced. Could be more intense, but still okay.

It’s beautiful, mahogany-red with a creamy head, and the aroma has notes of syrup, caramel, but sadly also a metallic touch. The flavour is moderately sweet with a citrussy dryness, notes of caramel and syrup, and the finish is dry and citrussy.

Bottle 50cl.
Clear medium red brown color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, brown sugar notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081004]

50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe/Ungstrup. Pours clear and golden amber to hazzlenut brown with a diminished white head. Light metallic and malty aroma, towards breadish. Bitter and mild roasted flavour with a mix of a light metallic and fruity note. Ends bitter and vaguely metallic.
