nice label which shows the in bavaria famous angel aloisius. dark brown colour with vanishing head. roasty start with some hops in the background. the middles is only malty and makes sticky lips. finishes with some more bitterness but dominant malts. average dark beer but with outstanding stickyness.

Oct 6, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear orangey brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with lightly sweet roasted malt. Has an odd uncleant metallic touch - or detergents. The finish is dry with a subdued bitterness. 041008

Oct 4, 2008 Bottle. Slightly metallic aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Mild flavour, slightly roasted, hint of rye bread. A bit watery, but OK.

Oct 2, 2007 Bottle, bought at the brewery. Dark brown color. Malt and brown sugar in the aroma. malty sweet flavor with caramel and a hint of milk chocolate. Medium bodied. Somewhat sticky mouthfeel, but fairly well balanced and with enough complexity to be pleasurable.
