Cask; Regular.
The mirror image of Rock Bitter, smooth and dark with a biscuity flavour. Back in the pre-war days this beer would have been on sale in virtually every one of the brewery's jug and bottle counters throughout the county and beyond.

Cask at the Duchess of Cambridge, London. Pours rich, black-brown with a frothy, beige head. Dark, almost burnt toast nose. Light sweet flavor with subtle dark fruits, light cocoa, raisins, grapes. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Nice condition. Moderately dry to finish, lightly toasty, with darkly toasted sugars, light dirt, purple grapes. A basic but fairly well-rounded mild.

Bitter finish, not too overpowering. Not much on the nose. Good head like that looks like an espresso in colour, and lasted to the bottom of the glass. Roasted taste like burnt toast, with a certain sweetness.
