cgarvieuk (2544), Edinburgh, Scotland Oct 1, 2008 Cask at bow bar edinburgh ... Amber ... light sweet hop ... sweet soft juicy fruit hops ... leading to a drying bitter linger... little light toffee. Mes_and_Sim (4487), Highgate, Greater London, England Jul 20, 2008 A Mes rate: Cask at the Pembury. Darkish golden blonde with no head. Extremely perfumey and floral aroma, in fact I had to take a couple of extra sniffs at it to make sure it was the young lady who had just walked past that I was smelling. Slight malt in the background but it’s just all perfume. A little better once in the mouth. The perfume is all but gone giving the orangey hops and faint malt a bit more of a chance. Almost tart, slightly sweet finish. A reasonable amount of flavour actually but it’s just lacking a little character. RichardGretton (2682), Leicestershire, England Jul 12, 2008 Cask@The Criterion, Leicester. Golden/syrupy looking beer with a lightly malty aroma and a bitter and malty dry flavour. Overall an average and plain beer. leaparsons (4001), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Jul 8, 2008 Cask, The Criterion, Leicester. Golden with a white head. Aromas are grain and biscuit with caramel. Some citrus with floral notes. Flavours are sweet malts with light grapefruit bitterness. Peppery with a dry addictive finish. albertane (300), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Feb 10, 2008 Cask at the Queen Adelaide, Sneinton, Nottingham. This golden beer has a strong floral aroma with a mouthfeel and taste which are both very buttery, although there’s a nice lingering bitterness.
