COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the US, called BrouCzech Dark.

Pyrope or Bohemian garnet stones were randomly collected in our territory by ancient Celts. It is a stone of all-binding fire, passion as well as purity of heart. However, it is generally known as a stone of love. Thanks to its typical colour, its name has been used metaphorically in connection with the colour of dark and semi-dark beers. Granat from Nova Paka is a dark sweeter lager with quality rich foam that is suitable for mixing pale types; alcohol 5%.

Tasted at the "3rd Czeh Beerfestival", Budapest. Amber coloured brew with an off-white head on its top. Smell of caramell and yeast. It started crisp, flavour was of toffee. The aroma was of caramell malt, bottom fermented yeast and grassy hops. Finish was spicy and dry. Good one.

Went in judging too quickly. Interesting, sexy dark red color with a small tan head that pretty much dissipates instantly. no lacing. it smelled of coffee right off the bat with roasted nuts. Pleasant mouthfeel, medium carbonation. The taste really opens up in your mouth. Coffee at first, followed by roasted almonds, caramel, and a bitter dark chocolate finish. slightly metallic towards the bottom of the glass though. i think its a bit under rated for its taste, but i’ll have all but the butt of it.

Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Very week caramelic notes. Light bitter strange flavor. Ashes and molasse notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Not very sweet. Watery palate.
