Too strong for some people’s taste.

That’s a great deal for a beer as tasty as this. Very malty with that Czech lager flavor in abundance. The hops are just strong enough to balance the malt (if that). I think this is a sensational beer - one that I would be happy drinking again and again. Very good stuff! A bit crisp with an amazing aroma. mixamatt (427), San Francisco, California, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 4, 2002 Clear gold with some minute specks. Sticky and foamy white head. Thrusting carbonation. Light pilsner malt aroma, floral hops and tobacco? Crisp and clean with a subtle but thick malt flavor. Spicy/floral hop mix and a tinge of Beechwood smokiness. Nice body, fresh taste and jumping spiciness. Light metallic hard water edge. Finishes malty sweet yet well balanced. Aged in Beechwood? A very nice quality pils for the value. themightyomega (82), New York, USA

Lots of hops aroma, nicely balanced flavors of malt up front with a gentle crisp hops finish. Nice to unwind with after a nasty hot summer day. SN11 (57), USA

Appears light amber color, medium carbonation. Taste is slightly bitter and smoked. Roasted malts, burned pecans? with a slight hint of sweetness. Interesting. Nice hop flavor but faint aftertaste. Next time I’ll try this with a steak. Better than many other pilsners. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2007 I actually really enjoyed this one. Bronze body with a large white head, decent lacing and retention. Aroma is fresh grassy hops with light buttery bready malts. Lighter body with a good balance between bitterness and sweetness, keeping a somewhat buttery mouthfeel. One of my most overrated beers? Skinnyviking (4198), Copenhagen, Denmark
