wunderbier (1261), Finland Mar 4, 2008 A fizzy, tan, soda-like head falls quickly into a thin crown over a deep brown body with ruby highlights. Strange aroma prompts a double take; strong essences of walnuts, chestnuts and cola ride over waves of banana bread and smouldering, damp wood. Further back herbal hops, sulphur and brown sugar round out the olfactory experience, which feels rather sharp and stuck together in an overall sense. The flavour is a combination of bread, malt and toffee sweetness and alkaline bitterness, leading into a slightly chemical aftertaste with some vegetal components as well. Medium bodied with a tacky texture and fizzy carbonation. Feels rather astringent as well. I simply couldnt get into this one at all with its odd chemical-like fermentation by-products. 50cl bottle, bbe 15/08/08.

color:dark brown reddish,Light brown head disappears fast ,no lace
Taste:sweeet dark roasted malts, in sticky aftertaste some hints of hops. Hmm, maybe i give it another chance on next Easter if it is available. This bottle might be bit over aged. Ibrew2or3 (1756), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Aug 3, 2008 Updated: Aug 26, 2008Courtesy of Degarth. Pours clear brown-ish amber with thin tan head. The aroma is fruity with plums, cherries, prunes and raisins. Very little malt noticed. The taste is mildly fruity with esters moving into a note of malt astringency tartness then a pretty solid smokiness. Midway and into the finish a Munich like grainy malt rises up to join the smoke sensation. Pretty cool. fishingnet (856), Brandon, Florida, USA Jul 27, 2008 Bottle courtesy CigarCityBrew. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, and light roasted malt. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Good.
