tap at brewpub.Light dark roasty nose, very faint aroma. Appearance: dark, muddy brown with neat creamy top. Super clean dark roasty character, slightly sharper than average but still superbly smooth and drinkable. Clean smooth finish. I loved that dry mocha in the middle.

From tap@the brewpub. Frothy tan head. Body is opaque brown. Dry malts and yeast on the nose, very fresh smelling. A fruit scent, mild coffee, hayish and dusty hops, too. Fresh and dry, coffee-ish malt body. Roasted notes, and a touch of caramel and nuts. Some barely noticeable hops underneath. Crisp mouthfeel. Fruity and light caramelly ending. Elegant with high drinkability.

Pours a deep garnet. . . Roasted cherry nut aroma, with hints of candy, sugar and malt. . . Toasted flavour, with a deep forest feel and bitter hops. A bit of chocolate in the mix, all around good, but lacking any robust flavours or depth.

500 ml swingtop bottle, bought at the brewpub. Colour of this unfiltered and unpasteurised beer is hazy reddish brown. Pours with an enormous light tan head, which soon diminishes. Aroma is very malty (typical dunkel) with caramel and hints of oak and yeast. Quite flavourful for a beer this low ABV, plenty of malts and toffee, but low on hops. Smooth and easy drinking. The bottles were overpriced by Czech standards, but a Norwegian won’t mind!

on tap at the brewery pours amber, tall off white head. Light sweet tea aroma. Sweet light malt, mild roasted malt and a nutty, bread finish. Moderate carbonation, full bodied. A well rounded dark lager, right in every way.
