2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - DEC 20, 2007
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy medium-dark brown with a fluffy white head. Sweet molasses, spice and a weird funkiness in the aroma; a little off. Sweet flavor with some roast and nuttiness. Medium body with prickly carbonation. A little odd for a dunkel, and not as good as the svetle in my opinion.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 TBone (9999) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 16, 2008
Draught@brewpub
Dark ruby brown color, firm big brown head. Sweety-bready, caramelly and lightly diacetylic nose. Light chocolaty and sweet caramelly flavor with some woody hops. Kind of drinkable, but didn’t impress me.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Marko (3611) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 13, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Poured a very dark reddish black body with a small off white head that went away at a medium pace. Light caramelly nose. Slightly worty grainy malty taste, light dogfood, Light bitterness near the end that’s ok but overall not one of the better dunkels in prague.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 bartazo (82) - Esztergom, HUNGARY - APR 27, 2010
A helyszínen kóstoltam csapolva. Több korsó világos, és a helyszínen kapható négyféle ízesített sör után megkóstolva ez nekem már műsör ízűre sikeredett. Édeskés karamell íze, mintha csak utólag lett volna az alapléhez keverve. A barnákkal mindig bajban vagyok, itt is biztosan én nyeltem félre.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Theis (11061) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 1, 2007
Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown - light brown head. Ryebread, licorice, chokolate, thin body & finish. Too high carbonated. Thin & boring.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 armando629 (2206) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 5, 2010
Tap at the brewpub.
Hazy dark beer with a froathy off white head. Moderated, meaningless aroma and flavor with some caramel and malt, minimal roasted character, sourish yeast. Everything nothing. Beer with colorant i think. Not an exciting one, disappointing after the pale one...
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Balazs (654) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 6, 2010
From the tap at the brewery. There is not much going for this brew. Some malty, caramelish aroma, but too watery overall. Decent white head, but seriously lacks caracter both in taste and aroma. I’m glad others were able to enjoy it.
2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 JaBier (3729) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAY 2, 2009
Sampled at Dogbrick’s Eurostash tasting on 4.30.09. Amber/light brown pour with a big tan head. Not a big fan of the aroma on this one. The malt and yeast are there, but it smells like they’re working against each other. Something is just off there. Flavor is yeasty and malty with a slight bit of tartness. This bottle may be off.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Dogbrick (5993) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 5, 2009
Sample at the Eurostash tasting on 04/30/09: Bottle from the brewpub. The beer pours an amber color with a medium thick off-white head that diminishes slowly. Yeast and vinegar aroma that makes me worried whether this beer survived the trip intact. Flavors of lake water, malt and yeast with a hint of vinegar remaining in the background. The finish is malt and tart fruit that is thankfully short. Overall I want to assume this bottle was infected but who knows. Will have to track it down again someday.
