Real Blond Ale
A combination of strength and subtlety. A pure malt beer with a wide palette of flavours to drink as an aperitif or to be served with country-style cooking (mussels and chips, herrings, poultry, stews etc.).

33cl bottle @ home shared with Joes thanks to my mum and dad bringing this from holiday. Clear yellow to golden color, medium sized a bit soapy white to off-white head. Smell malts, some sweetness, lightly some flowers. Taste malts, a slight touch of herbs, flowers again and maybe even a slight fruityness. Again a quite nice beer from this brewery. A bit high carbonated, medium body.

Bottle. Hazy gold with an off-white foam. Aromas are grain with dried tropical fruit mix. Soft spices with pepper. Flavours are sweet fruit with toast malts. Bitter lemon with plenty of yeast. Dry on the finish.

bottle from Calais Vins. Golden colour, large white head. Aromatic hoppy nose. Full-bodied, good malt flavours, resiny-citrusy hops are present. Well-balanced, smooth palate.

Huge, very dense & fine just yellowish head, persistent and leaving fine lace over golden beer with orange highlights. Fruity, hot malts, gassy, garden weeds & herbs. Toasted malts, bit of caramel, tad sweet with a fine bitterish finish, and a CO² enhanced sourishness. Flowery, more garden herbs. Delicate but sure balance. Titillating, not fizzy; light to medium body. Excellent, light drinking ale - pity about the too discreet nose. Worth looking for!

(75 cl bottle from Systembolaget) Clear deep golden color with a big lasting fluffy white head. Spicu Belgian ale yeasty scent, also some alcohol. Rather weak Belgian ale taste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet aftertaste.

Large bottle picked up from small village 8-10 miles along the coast from Calais. Nice deep golden colour with large ice cream head, nice slightly tart bite to it but very good intensity of flavour. A very decent beer brought a couple back with me.

Bottle. Lovely high lasting and creamy white head. Hazy yellow and thick looking body. Very sweet and fruity, astonishingly much banana like in a wheat beer. Flavor is fruity, lemon and oranges, and fresh with a good deal of carbonation. Short sweet aftertaste.

larsga (6323) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 31, 2011
Big offwhite head. Slightly hazy yellow body with strong carbonation. Fruity herbal aroma with papery notes. Fairly bland. Dry-sweet herbal fruity taste with honey and paper notes. Light body. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy honey aftertaste with papery notes. Very bland and boring, but perfectly drinkable. (0.33l bottle, I forget where from.)
