COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered.
Brewed at De Proefbrouwerij until 2005
A stout made with roasted barley, tonic and invigorating, with a well-conditioned, slight but distinctive bitterness. Noire de Stack is perfect for beer-tasting and goes very well with smoked fish, oysters and delicatessen meats.

Black color; large head, stiff. Light aroma of cardboard, roasted malt. Medium body structure, there is a strong flavor of roasted malt, possibly dusty, with a late and light liquorice touch; very light sourness from the black malts; dry finish. Balanced.
Nordic style; not my favorite, but not bad..

Bottle thanks to the bosses had at home. Alround rating: Roasty black malt, some sweeter candy hints, overly carbonated with some strange yeatsyness going on, perhaps some saw dust?

A Mes rate: bottle thanks to Tom.
Meaty and oily on the nose. Dark brown with a huuuuge frothy beige head. Odd, rough and boarderline undrinable. Fatty and dull. Lots of cardboard, some fruit, faint bitter chocolate. Very poor.

Bottle from La Bon Marche. Pours very dark brown with a three-finger tan head. It laces. Darkly roasted caramel aroma. Medium body with moderate carbonation. It’s very nutty with smooth dark roast malt. Could be mild fruits in here. Bit of chocolate. Very flavorful, but light, stout. Not exactly dry.

Bottled. Dark ruby/black, rich firm beige head. Aroma of coffee and dusty fruit salad. Very dry with light body and rounded mouthfeel. There’s chocolatey with some toffee, fairly low bitterness. A velvetty very drinkable dry stout!

Thx for a great tasting, Kim Johansen... it will never be the same again :-) Dark w tiny head. Little smoky malty aroma, notes of chocolate and spices. Flavour is sweet. More smoke in finish.
