Bottle sample @ 2nd RBBSG, August 11th 2012. Courtesy of Tderoeck. Holy hell this beer rocks. Couleur acajou, sur un col légèrement rosâtre. Arôme à toutes les qualités d’un lambic fruité, ce très agréable bouquet aigre fruité de mûres, presque de framboise sauvages est un vrai régal. Note ce côté barrique avec des notes boisées qui laissent tout de même la place aux mûres pour se ressentir. Palais, sec avec un profond profile fruité/mûres, notes de fruits frais/terreux, la manière dont les fruits sont présents est phénoménal, à cela se rajoute de subtiles notes de barrique et de bois, donnant une belle dimension de lambic mariant aigreur fruitée et de barrique.

Sampled at RBBSG. Hazy light orange color, small to medium white head. Smell sourness, some burned rubber. Taste balanced sour, some sour fruits, green apple. Really nicely balanced. Medium body, medium carbo.

Reddish purple pour, light pink head. Lactic sour, Brett, blackberry, light lemon. Nice and sour with blackberry, cheesy funk, old barrel woodsy flavors. Awesome!

Shared by forgetfu. Thanks Bill! The beer is light crimson with a quarter inch of head. The nose brings berries and funk. Decent flavor with a tart finish. Sour berries and earth. Dry finish. An enjoyable beer that was not on my radar. Overall, this was pretty good.

Shared by someone at a recent tasting, thanks. Beer is fine, the wort doesn’t especially taste like Girardin but never the less the raspberries sneak through. It is light in color and aggressinve on carbonation. I’d try it again but it wasn’t very good.

Head: gushing/huge, sticky /pink
Colour: light watermelon
Smell: Berries, gueze, bitter, sour, awesome fruity fragerant combined with that nice typical Girarding aroma !
Taste: clearly noticeable girardin flavour mixed in an awesome flavour of berries, very fruity, nice sourness level not overly fruity, very balanced, end is dry, awesome !

Super rare whale bottle compliments of Frank, Pours cloudy hazy cranberry with fizzy white head, lots of carbontation, little lacing. Nose is like a framboise with a light sourness, a touch of blackberry, strong brett, light medicinal qualities, raspberries, red grape skins and vinous oak. Finish is bitter and grainy. Not as dry as I expected, kind of juicy. Very good.

75 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, tart and barnyard. Wooden, tart, fruity and dry bretty to almost wooden. Smooth fruity and tart into the finish.

Gushing to huge dirty-pink head, fluffy, over hazy red beer with an amber-brownish sheen. Pure lambic nose with putteke included, leather, lightly horseblanket, citrus and indeed purple berries. Little fruitiness, lots of (Girardin-recognisable) lambic. Hint at sweetness. Fruit: yes, blackberries: no. Tart, dry-out effect, lipsmacking sourness. Excellent. Might benefit from being a little stronger on the fruit, but if these are really blackberries - brambles - then Jean van Roy affirms they hardly colour/flavour beer.

Purple / maroon colored, phenolic baby diaper aroma, blackberry, mild lactic tartness, flavor is similar with less baby diaper and milder phenolic character, fruit adds a nice depth of flavor, great flavor and moderate aroma, but overall a Very nice beer.
