Cask; ABV varies between 4.2 to 4.4 % ABV.

A rich bronze beer having all the traditional traits provided from old English hops. It has a soothing bitterness but just enough body to make it a satisfying Nutbrook beer.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a golden colour with a decent white head. A citric aroma of lemon, lime, caramel and yeast. Similar flavours and quite drinkable with mild carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Not bad.

Cask handpull, The Crown, Nuneaton, 20/04/12. Misted gold with a slim white top. Lemony, slight Whiskas aroma. A bit meaty; some honeyed apricot, strawberry ester hints, corn finish. Not great, but possibly not in top nick. Didn’t finish.

Cask (Cambridge Blue, Cambridge)
6 Nutty aroma, just says ’brown’ all over it.
3 Yup, looks like a bitter, slightly darker than average nowadays.
5 You can see it’s a bitter, but it’s laden with chalky minerals.
4 Fortunately, the finish is good - soft and earthy.
12 Plusses and minuses - pleasant, but also dull.

Cask@Cambridge Blue, Cambridge. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is wooden, slightly vegetably as well as some mild yeasty and dusty notes. Flavour is fruits, wood, earth and some grassyness. Also some mild grainy notes in the finish.
