The aroma is diacetyl, the taste is diacetyl and diacetyl. I kind of like the diacetyl in this but the diacetyl is the thing that puts me off.

Thanks to Finn for the 500ml bottle. Very clear amber body. Diminishing white head. Sweet grain-malty to the nose. Fine blend of noble hops and toffee malts in flavour. Some hints of sweet butter beneath. Short bitter endnotes. Modest crisp and rounded mouthfeel. Medium bodied (shared with Eva, Tromsř 08.04.2009).

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2009 Draught at the Cseh Csillagok beerfest at the Millenáris, Budapest. The beer has a nice amber body with a creamy tan head(it was draughted with nitro). Fine sweet buttery aroma of malt and caramel, some fruity character, light hop perfume. Smooth mouthfeel with sweet malt and caramel, light hop in the finish. Nice and drinkable one, but not a pilsner style. Now it was bottled, without nitro... It is worst than before, not so powerful...Not bad, only not so powerful:)

esox (863) - Oulu, FINLAND - MAR 14, 2009
Bottled. Clear copper beer. Light soda-like head diminishes almost completely. The aroma is sweetish malty, almost caramelly and it has fruity esters. Some grains too. Hops are herbal but not particularly strong. Some buttery diacetyl in the finish. The falvor is malty, a bit grainy and it has sweetness of light candi-sugar. Medium, but very soft bitterness in the finish. The palate is medium bodied, oily and soft carbonated. Somehow too sweet and estery for a pils.

0.5 l bottle. Copper color with quickly vanishing head. Mallty, caramelly and honeyish aroma with herbal-peppery hops. Bittersweet, caramelly, honeyish and sugary flavor with herbal-peppery hops. Has some good maltiness and hoppiness but gets too sweet and sugary after a while.
